A, 1 Fifty per cent ot the student body was active last year in either classical or modern languages. This tact is indicative of Saint George ' s rapidly progressing language department headed by Brother Emilian. Indeed, the department seemed to have gone modern, and more is yet to come. Through the use ol sing-alongs, tapes, records, and speakers, one can see the presence ot new techniques. Most characteristic of all was the use of conversation. The language student at Saint George has to be on his toes because sooner or later, he knows that he is going tohaveto speak and listen in that language. About the future.
