Brother I. Elzeur Brother Lawrence David Brother Bernard Brother Patrick Brother Iulius Edgal BROTHER I. ELZEAR, who was the first director of the school, established it on a sound basis and was responsible for many of the school organizations which are still in existence. ln 1933, BROTHER LAWRENCE DAVID succeeded Brother Elzear and remained here until 1939. During those two years a steady expansion of the school's facilities was main- tained. Several high awards and recognitions were garnered by the debating club and the school publications. In l939, BROTHER BERNARD relieved Brother David and continued the expansion program begun by him. BROTHER PATRlCK in l942 took over the guidance of the Dragons and during his admin- istration St. George was admitted into the Na- tional Honor Society. The school also received nationwide attention through the medium of its outstanding football team, which captured the national championship. Three years later in l945, BROTHER IULIUS EDGAR began a new chapter in St. George history. During his term the en- rollment grew out of proportion to the facilities of the school. Consequently, under Brother lulius' direction a Brothers' Residence was con- structed, thus giving the students more room. Brothers' Residence. From foundation to dedication.
