Foreword Involvement—becoming concerned over something and doing something about it—sprung up at SCHS this year. Many issues—school spirit, the dress code, the power of student council, and even prayer at commencement—prompted storms of letters to the editor of the Daily Thing. Better assemblies on drug usage and safe driving habits, and the introduction of SCHS ' s first literary magazine, A Punctured Drum, made students more aware of the contemporary scene. Even the educational goals at SCHS underwent a change with the intro¬ duction of specific behavorial objectives. No new buildings went up this year, but SCHS did change—in a big way—for the better.
