Joan Croke-Joanie St. Cyril of Alexandria Joan's popularity won an office for her from '50 to '54--her versatility was apparent from her partici- pation in dramatics, Science Honor, Student Council, and Benita staff-displays a modernistic touch in everything she does. Dorothy Darges-Dot St. Francis Xavier Dot's a crazy mixed up kid whose ready smile makes friends fast-old-fashioned sense of responsi- bility-finds shorthand very interesting-possesses a modulated voice and a disarmingly generous Irish smile. Shirley Deegan--Deegie Assumption Deegie is a dash of Irish wit-brightened the Can- tata and Operetta by her delightful characterization - tops in work and play-four year's membership in N. F. L.-two in History Honor, three in Radio Honor ,and staff member of Benita. Betty Ann DeMarco-Betty St. Athanasius Betty goes her way quietly and unobtrusively-vol- uminous raven locks and flashing eyes--her pleasant personality will find her a worthwhile secretarial position and later a perfect marriage. Barbara Dettling-Barbara St. Benedict, Canton Refreshing as clear cold water-lovely as a spring morning-unaffected, deeply spiritual-quoting Barbara, Chemistry, colossas! I love those seven o'clock labs -her smile bespeaks the warmth of her personality. jg-uw S. Deegan L. Easler D. Darges A. Dorsch Joan Dorgan-Joan St. Athanasius Joan's sparkling vivacity spiced both the Glee Club and the Varsity-possessed an impetuous, generous nature-her analytical mind won her membership in Literary Honor Society, the Student Council, made her feature writer on Benita. Arlene Dorsch-Arlene St. Ambrose Arlene meets people with sparkling zest-anticipates latest fads and fancies-a secretary in the making -a beguiling and loyal friend of Janet and Susie. Lois Easler-Lee Assumption Lee is prepared to meet life, chin up, eyes forward- perseverance and strength of will-hobby is collect- ing poems and snapshots-catty smile indicates a mischief within a kind mind. Josephine Erdeljac-Josie St. Nickolas Josie graciously did her part and more in the Glee Club and on the staff of the Benita-a sports-loving enthusiast-she can take it and is well-liked. Mary Louise Falvo-Lou St. Peter Lou's a swell buddy to everyone-would rather dance and play basketball than anything else-Lou hopes to own a beauty shop someday-a witty humor used when least expected. Celene Faulhaber-Celene Sacred Heart Celen's beguiling smile gets one in return-limitless capacity for fun-love for sports, especially base- ball-a refreshing appreciation of life and of every one around her. Bernice Faust-Niece St. Teresa Niece's personality is completely feminine-the quiet charm and radiant looks of a debutant-loyal, efficient and zealous-is an excellent pianist-pos- sesses the charm of a southern country garden with a touch of lavender. Arlene Ferrelly-Arlene St. Catherine Arlene breezes through typing and shorthand like a pro-finds enjoyment in dancing, skating, reading, and painting-her real goal in life is a happy marriage. Zita Flaherty-Zita St. Athanasius Janet Floyd-Jan St. Joseph Jan is a petite miss with a quiet neatness-children fascinate her, so her big career is marriage-sewing and swimming rate high-appreciative of Lorrain and He1en's friendship. Frank Virginia Ann Foerster-Ginger Nativity Energetic Ginger sings her way into the hearts of her friends-basketball champ-her responsive na- ture makes her a swell friend- serious side in this fun-loving miss. Carol Frank-Frankie Nativity Frankie's proud achievement is a four-year basket- ball service and Glee Club membership, too- has a host of friends-elected for vice-president of senior home-room-broadminded and intelligent with a taste for lovely things. Rosemary Frost-Frosty St. Cyril of Alexandria A class jester with hair that turns rusty in the rain- her ambition is to see the world-make strange con- coctions --her firm convictions will enable Frosty to succeed in her Duquesne adventure. Claire Funk-Claire Nativity Claire aspires to be an exquisite interior decorator -magic pen left trails of beauty-happy-go-lucky sweetness with a touch of charm-and Oh! those styles. Janet Ganster-Jan St. Boniface Janet's high school days were filled with activities and enthusiasm--her amibility helped her win the office of president during her sophomore year- member of the Student Council and co-feature editor of Benita.
