'I'HE I950 SE Illll To Our God and Our School We'll E'er Be True The story of our four years at St. Benedict Academy is one of great pro- gress. In it is seen the gradual growth of bright, eager girls into young women equipped with the knowledge necessary to live a happy, Christian life in the world today. ' Looking back, it is easy to remem- ber those scrawny, scared freshies at initiation, the Christmas program with Santa Claus and all his reindeers 3 those memorable history skits written, direct- ed and acted by talented ones among usg and our first attempt at a social, a skating party, at West View. When the bell called us to our second year we were just as bright, as eager, though not quite as scrawny. The success of our first dance at Assump- tion, and our one-act plays spurred us on and, after mastering our attempts at biology, geometry, business-training, and Caeser's Gallic Wars, we were really upper-classmen. What do you think of that? Half way-and so much to learn, to accomplish. Abiding by the decision of the faculty to eliminate the Junior Prom, we showed our true spirit of co-operation and made the Yuletide Ball a social and financial success. After the presentation of Have Pa- tients, Penelope and excited prepara- tion for the Senior banquet, came the dawn of Class Day and we became Seniors. As always, the end approaches too quickly. In rapid succession came the year book plans - - - the Senior Saddle Swing - - - our trip to the Court House - - - the class play - - - Senior banquet - - - Class day - - - the Prom at the Schenley Hotel . . . May Crowning - - - our class picnic . . . and the climax, Graduation Day. We are now no longer students but alumnae. In the Words of a great Roman - We came, we saw, we conquered.
