Vice President Gian gfisfory Dreams, though of a gossamer quality, are not woven in a day, a week, a month, nor a year, their completion marks a series of events and of persons so closely knit as to form one complete picture. We seniors now take time to review our handiwork be- fore we lay aside forever the looms on which we wove the tapestries of our high school lives. Drawing aside the curtain of forgetfull- ness of four years, we again stand as seventy freshmen, enduring initiation, participating in the school activities, especially our own Christmas program, and our skating party. Stone by stone our dream castles rise as we pass from our first year in high school to become sophomores. The chance for turn- about presents itself in the initiation of the new freshmen, thus we renounce the baby- hood period of high school life. Our firsts include our initial entrance into the realm of Shakespeare, as we present excerpts from the Merchant of Venicef' and our first dance, The Cupid Hop held at Hotel Henry. With half our stay at St. Benedict's com- pleted, the days and months speed in rapid flight until we find ourselves juniors. This year found us truly young in heart. Carry- ing out this theme of joyousness we produced Magnolia, a flower whose fragrance will never be lost. The Stardust Ball marked another milestone on our road to maturity. Our souvenir box is almost empty. But as we look forward to the future we are ready to bring' our long-awaited dreams to fruita- tion, due to the wealth of preparation accu- mulated at St. Benedict's. And wistfully look- ing back we say Thank you to everyone who helped us gather these lovely memories to remember forever. Now begins the port- rayal of the adults we have fashioned our- selves. 12
