Had a nice vacation?,' Corridors resounded with our excited laughter and chatter as we exchanged greetings on Sept. 3. When the electric bell suddenly ended the confusion, forty-one of us found ourselves in Room 201 and forty-two, in Room 202 with Sr. Marcella and Sr. Louise as home room teachers. Soon, as se- date seniors, we marched to the chapel to assist at a Nlass of the Holy Ghost. The last year of our stay at S. B. A. had begun. As the days passed into weeks and the weeks into months we became aecustomed to Hrst lunch periods and choicest seats at assemblies. Besides working hard at our academic subjects, we ventured in many activities. Vile sponsored the Community Fund drive, and made the hrst dance of the year The Cranberry Jamn a huge successg through cooperative effort and splendid coaching of Miss YVingerter we won laurels through our class play, Wings of the Nlorningf' what fun we all had at the never-to-be-forgotten prom at Highland Country Club with Brad Hunt's musicg these ac- tivities promoted loyalty and happiness among us. As wayfarers, ere we embarked on the summit of summits, Graduation, we've locked in our hearts precious memories of four years of friend- ship with teachers and classmates. and . . . Sr. Aurelia and Sr. Hildegard supervised our homerooms. Despite obstruc- tions the class managed to reach its many goals in dramatics, forensics, and scholarship. To help promote the Community Fund drive we staged the .lunior Minstrel. C Rememher Gus Fairley's rendition of Chloe', and -lanie McNamara's jokes? P F J 'lihe class collect the biggest amount for the Building Campaign which the Sisters sponsored this year. YVe had the distinction of heing the lirst junior class to sponsor a prom. Here again was history in the making for we were the first class to present a play outside of the school auditorium. Vlle staged it in Sam Hamilton Auditorium. Rememher the ll:30 lunch periods, and the lends with the seniors, and the :Xmerican His- tory classes with Miss Ruzzinif Coming down from thc heights, we traveled on to june where, in the Castle of Friendship, we en- tertained the Seniors at a festive hanquet. .-Xnd now only ahout two and a hall months in vacation land hefore we arrive at the summit of our high school amhition, Seniordom. . . .
