medical tion, TO THE l't.8fl,JS' of St. .Hanes OUR F RIENDSI Cod love them! Staunch and true they have always been. When the clarion call of need sounded from St. Anne's, these many friends gave tangible evi- dence of their loyalty. Unstintingly they sacrificed time, means, and effort to secure aid in procur- ing finances for the erection of a much needed new building on the Academy campus. To all the men and women who helped in the campaign drive for funds-from the leading committee chairmen to the smallest contributor-we offer our sincere and prayerful thanks. The building, shown in the accompanying picture, will be a lasting monument to the self-sac- rificing people, who, feeling a sacred responsibility to God in the cause of Catholic education, have contributed at the cost of sacrifice according to their God-given means. The Faculty and students of St. Anne's are deeply grateful for the whole-hearted cooperation shown this worthy cause. May Cod bless and reward each and every giver is the earnest prayer of- The Faculty and Student Body St. Anne's Academy 1 J. . , ,-. fl' 1 .. 1 s - - -:J L 5- vii - . . f X F F -' - - f . fn' V ' . essage to the graduates Dear Graduates of the Class of 1957: IT HARDLY SEEM S POSSIBLE that as you retrospectively think of all that has trans- pired, you find yourselves the graduating class of 1957. You begin to have a feeling of maturity and rightly so, for in the past four years you have gone about the task of de- veloping the full man, body and soul. No longer are you the shy and fearful freshman, 'but now the learned and dignified senior, prepared to take the knowledge which you have received under the guidance and direction of the Sisters of Mercy, at St. Anne,s Academy, and make your imprint upon the world in which you live. You have been graced by a good Catholic education. I hope that you will always keep as your sentinel the principles of your Faith. May the memories of your years at St. Anne's include the spiritual activities which so frequently assisted you on your way. May your devotion to the Mother of God as her Sodalists ever increase. By following the ex- ample of your mother, Mary, by working our more effective ways of spreading the truths of Christ, Her Divine Son, may you be able to remake the world for peace. As you stand at this crossroad of life, your commencement day, the world awaits you. Some, please God, may be called to His service, some united with Him in the Holy Bonds of Matrimony, while others will leave for service to their country, and some will still continue in the field of higher education. No matter what course you may take, as you go your separate ways, may they all lead to the Feet of Christ, Who will await you as you stand on the threshold of life, on your final commencement day. As you leave your Alma Mater, St. Annels, I would like to remind you to hold al- ways in high esteem and with a feeling of gratitude, the work of the Sisters of Mercy. You have seen their lives of devoted service to God and to you. Remember them in your prayers. As I bid farewell to you, the Class of 1957, I am proud to have had the opportunity and the pleasure to be with you. I hope that in some way I have been of assistance to you. As a final admonition, always be good exemplary Catholics, cooperating with the Graces of Divine Love. I send you on your way with the blessing ofapriest. Sincerely yours in Christ, REV. EDWARD L. M OON EY, Chaplain Dean of Boys
