.,4,ii' ., A 'Jimi T K Ili 9' in--M' Va' g Q .ai iff , sfw L Coach Gerry Hamel takes a realistic view of this coming season. He feels that the new team will win its share of games. Although the Bees are not as strong in pitching as the Coach would like, Gary Laake, Harry DeLange, Mark Panno, Karl Burmeister and Bob Oderwald are expected to reliably handle the starting chores. Jerry O'Rourke and Mark Tripolino will be in the bullpen. Hitting is our strongest point. Karl Lu- zum .400, Bo Carroll .391, Mike Pusc- as 381, Dave Thomason 382, Skip Whalen .318, Rich Louck .333, lead on impressive punch. The Coach feels that he is strong up the middle with Louck catching, the superb combination of Thomason and Oderwald at short and second, and Randy Bahl and John Cornelis in center. Steve Cutler, Dave Walters, Paul Kelsey and Curt Wilson are expected to continue with their fine performance. LEFT: 1903-04 Baseball Team, the beginners in the field, don't they look like real sluggers? BELOW: 1973 Tri-captains Randy Bahl, Mike Carroll, and Mark Panno. 29
