I I N 3 At right is a closeup view of the main altar of Tennessee marble. Behind the altar is a metal grille of symbols in bronze, with seven bronze candlesticks built into it. Sus- pended above the altar is a circular tester and huge cross of wood, and small alum- inum crosses are imbedded in the curved stone wall in the rear. The choir stalls and organ console are located behind the grille.

DEDICATION In keeping with the spirit of the theme of this book, We are dedicating the 1954 Oaks to all the priests of the diocese, all the peo- ple of the diocese, the students, and the friends of Saint Ambrose in the diocese and all over the country who contributed so generously towards the building fund for the chapel.
