its mi m Have you ever wondered who Sophocles was? Or what an oxymoron is? Then you’ve come to the right place. The English department is very con- cerned with the students’ awareness of literary terms and writings and also with the development of their understanding of the English language. Mr. Dixon and his well-qualified staff are in the process of updating the content of their courses. They are also working for movies that will aid in the teaching of their material. During your freshman and sophomore years Mrs. Thompson, Mr. Maci, Mrs. Bailey, Mr. Bogner, and Mr. Kanine lay the basic foundation of the English language and its literature. Miss Trump and Miss Ciocan take over the literature department for the juniors and seniors and are more than happy to lend a helping hand when needed. When it comes to the up- perclassmen’s grammar Mr. Dixon can never be far behind. Mrs. Bailey once again comes to his aid to help the seniors with their writing skills to prepare them for a grueling life of college term papers.
