At this point, Mrs. Kumor has no intentions of leaving this school, but plans to continue her dedication to the St. Al’s students. Mr. Donald Dixon grew up in Dearborn and attended Edsel Ford High School. He went on to the University of Michigan where he graduated with majors in History and English. He has always been interested in literature, especially poetry, because he sees the beautiful way that people can ex- press themselves and let their feelings be known. When not working. Mr. Dixon enjoys the pleasures that music can bring, and the adventures of camping. His interests are revealed through the various jobs he has held. Aside from working as a page in a library and a camp counselor, he put himself through college by playing guitar. Ms. Carolyn Nord was born on Detroit's west side but her high school days were spent at the Felician Academy. She receiv- ed her BA at Madonna College, where she majored in English and minored in both Theology History. Ms. Nord has taught grades one through eight and also adult education programs. This is the first time in the history of Ms. Nord's career that she has taught in a high school. Miss Nord came to St. Alphonsus because she felt the student body cared about their education, and had heard of the dances, plays, music and sports. Mr. Thomas Rashid graduated from Eastern Michigan University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a major in History and a minor in Physical Education. He first came to work here at St. Alphonsus as a trainer on the coaching staff. Last year he accepted the position of Athletic Director, an extensive job that he is well trained for.
