From Adam to After-life Q: What is the goal of St. Alphonsus’ Religion Depart ment? A: Mr. John Rashid, Chairman of the Religion Depart- ment, feels that the main objective of the teachers is to bring their students to a healthy understanding of the Catholic faith and through their work to come to know Jesus, God, and the Church. Q: What is new in the Religion Department? A: St. Al’s was very' fortunate this year in acquiring four new Religious teachers: Mrs. Patricia Watanabe, Ms. Mary Rashid, Mr. Steven Leahy and Ms. Patricia DeCocker. Each has a style of teaching so unique that students impatiently await their Religion classes. Our Religion Department here at St. Al’s is really one of a kind. During a student’s four years, his Re- ligion teachers will have taken him from Adam and Eve, to Life, Death, and the After-life.
