Gvofvfwg 13160 Coat ob Hama L 1 'ii i 49 This has been adopted by the Student Council and Dragonian Staff to be our school 's Coat of Arms. The name Dragons, of which we are proud, is at the top of the crest. The four phases of our school are represented in the middle of the crest by the clasped hands of Friendship, which we have in our various clubs, the open book symbolizes the goal of schools, education or scholarship, the winged foot of Mercury represents the athletic program of our school, and the harp sym- bolizes the importance of music in our school life and activities. The ear of adoption is placed on the right and left of the crest. The lleaves around the crest are a symbol of our honored class ring. And to let others know that this is a symbol of our school, Saint Albans is written on the lower section. This Coat of Arms was created and designed by one of our Dragonian Staff members, Gene Thompson. 45,-Q 'F' 4 M 3' r '-i L! The official emblem of the Honor Society is the Keystone and the flaming torch. The Keystone has for ages been a symbol of strength and perfection. At the base of the Keystone the letters, CSLS, which stand for Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service, are in- scribed. The flaming torch symbolizes the light of knowledge which must be carried into the darkness of ignorance in order to enlighten the shadowy places of the world. The main activity and the main source of income of the Keystone Chapter of the National Honor Society is the keeping of the supply room, where the students may purchase their school supplies. It sponsors a library of college catalogs which is open to all students. This is a great help to them when they are choosing a college to attend. Also, since I947, our chapter has held an annual banquet for both active and graduate members. The Keystone Chapter has five officers, all of whom are elected by the members. Being a member of the National Honor Society is one of the greatest honors a student may receive in high school. l4A'l'v.eNM.
