The pass. . . FOOTB LL- A YEAR OF FRUSTRATIO The l97O Junior Varsity football team experienced a disappointing season with a l-5, win-loss, record. Many of the players were inexperienced and had a lot to learn. The team pos- sessed the spirit it takes to make a true football team. The boys deserve our congratulations for a valiant stab at victory with hope for a better season in l97l. The Junior Varsity players for 1970 were as follows: Top left, Rick Ashcraft, Gilbert Delgado, Robert CBonesj Valdez, Kurt Mienhausen, Tom Cumming, Greg Kring, Ruben Ramirez, jay Elarn, Billy Bell, Manny Conireras, Galen Marks, Ricky Fielden, Bobby Montano, Robin Clark, Javier Blanco, George Valdez, Andy Plemons, Oscar Ahumada, Rudy Mosley, David Eldred, Manny Montoya, Verlon Bench, Ernie Delgado, Pete Blanco, Chip Thomallo, james Palouuian, Tommy Tynes. OLLEYB LL N ACTIO This was the first year for Sahuarita' s girls' volleyball team to take part in interscholastic competition. Thus far the team has not had a fan- tastic season in-the win-loss column due, in part, to the greater experi- ence of their competition. However, with each game our team is improv- ing both in techniques and teamwork. The state championship was held here November 14, 1970.
