E ERYTHI GI BEAUTIF King Bruce Stephenson and Queen Ruth Valdez! E K E E 2 The '70 Homecoming started at a hot pace with the bonfire the night before the game. The spirit was built up at the fire by the cheers of the Mustang fans, and the sound of the chant, What are we gonna eat?, Tiger meat!! , was heard around the campus. Homecoming night We played the Gilbert Tigers and although we lost, the spirit was high and We were out to make it a night to remember. This year's King, Bruce Stephenson, and Queen, Ruth Valdez with their attendants were presented at halftime when last year's Queen, Eva Thompson, passed on her crown to Ruth. Two weeks before Homecoming, the high school vault was broken into. Close to 52, OOO was taken and considerable damage done.
