Iumping jacks and running the mile were not the only excercises physical education students did this year. The stu- dents learned a new game called Flickerball. The object of the game was to pass a foot- ball down a field and throw it into a net which was guarded. This year all students were required, as a district policy, to wear uniforms. Another new program, called the HPEOPEL programf, was designed to handle stu- dents' special needs in physi- cal education. The 1980 freshmen had another surprise. Team teach- ing gave them the opportunity to choose different activities. I think it got us through the title nine program, said Mr. George LeSatz, department head. The title nine program required co-ed PE classes. 1. Flickerball was the new sport of the fresh- man PE class. 2. Mrs. Gray pitches the ball to a student.
