Students Make History The history department provided many activi- ties to involve students this year. The mock election gave students the chance to understand how the presidential elections are run. With the help of Miss Lois Fitch, Mr. Robert Kastelic and Mrs. Linda Perl, the students organ- ized their own mock election. The school was broken down into 50 states and 1,946 students were registered. On Oct. 23 the votes were cast. The results much resembled the real presidential election. lt was a landslide. Reagan won with 395 electorial votes and 500 popular votes. Carter followed with 76 electoral votes and 181 popular votes. Anderson and Clark trailed. Anderson earned 46.5 electoral votes and 223 popular votes and Clark earned 10.5 electoral votes and 142 popular votes. Representing the candidates were Ann Pilcher CReaganJ, Iulie Howell CCarterl, Craig Herman CAndersonl, and Dan Cribbon fClarkj.
