Mr. Bob Kastelic, Uncle Bob, to his beloved students explained that there is one important reason, above all others that he even attempts to take on such a project. It's a hell of a challenge and if there isn't a chal- lenge involved, I'll make one, said Kastelic. The Grassroots project was a challenge for everyone involved. This project not only taught the students about trail and pioneer life, but they experienced and learned respect, trust, teamwork, communications, determination, and decision making skills.
