New building constructed for 5 1 X,As , ,S One of the most useful skills learned in home economics is learning to make one is own clothes. Here, Mrs. Sweeney helps a student sew a skirt. Home Economics Home Economics used to mean sewing a dress and baking a pan of biscuits, Today, however, it expands into human relations and bachelor survival, which is a new course that teaches senior boys cooking, nutrition, and consumer buying. Industrial Arts has also changed, New courses like power mechanics are now offered. However, the knowledge gained from these departments is still as helpful.
