Social Studies Aim For Better Citizens Besides learning about other countries, World Geography classes study the globe and learn how to use it. Mr. Marlin Spaw demonstrates the correct usage of longitude and latitude lines. IN SOCIAL studies one can gain an insight into the world and its people. This year, being an election year, added to the interest of many social ----- studies classes. Geography, now a required course, looked at people and their lands. The over-all objective of American History, and World His- tory, was to help the students become active and involved citizens. Contemporary World Affairs studied the philosophy of politics, and American Government gave the students a better under- standing of our government.
