DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS 1974 Distinguished Alumnus was Mr. Burrows Morley. He was born September 15, 1908. During his elementa- ry years he went to the old Crary School then in the eighth grade he entered Saginaw High. He was quite active in school activities. Mr. Morley was a reporter for the school newspaper, he was a member of the Student Council, captain of the tennis team and presi- dent of the sophomore class. He also played the drums at school dances. In 1926 he graduated from Saginaw High as an Honor Student. He then attended Dartmouth College and received his degree in 1930; he then went to Tuck School of Busi- ness Administration and Finance. He was married in 1931 and went into business with his brothers. Mr. Morley fought in World War II after the war he came home and went back to the family business, “Morley Brothers.” More recently Mr. Morley has been a prime mover in the establishment of the Down- town Saginaw Mall. He also benefited other Saginaw Businesses and Clubs. Mr. Morley has helped Saginaw develope in many ways. So for his efforts we would like to give a SPECIAL SALUTE to our 36th Distinguished Alumnus, Burrows Morley.
