History Month The month of February was set aside as Black History month. It was observed at Saginaw High first when Miss Joanna Featherspoon came and entertained the student body in an assembly with her recitations of black literature (first picture). During the month there were many other activities here including a Soul Food Dinner. To close out Black History month over 50 students from Saginaw High presented a Black History play. The play was entitled, “Unsung Black Heroes. The students did a very fine job of portraying the lives of Black heroes of the past and present. 20
