ADMINISTRATION I 9-it , X W x MMS Mx Mita PM R .Rx I U fl? A X f v J 5 J' X. 5 .D W 7 0 X C I X x East Side vs. West Side! In the early days of Saginaw the rivalry between the east and west side schools was a rivalry between two separate towns. Professor john Estabrook was elected Principal of East Saginaw Schools in September of 1886, his title being changed to Superintendent in january, 1867. At that time the East and West Saginaw administrations were separate functions. March, 1928, brought Chester F. Miller to Saginaw, and with his efforts the two administra- tions became one. Of the newly unified organization, Miller was first Superintendent. During the years that he held that position, many major advances took place: new schools, new curriculum additions, and greater aid to the youth of Sagin- aw. The administration played its most important part for us in the attainment of the new Saginaw Highg campaigning for the vote that would assure East Side students of a new high school with swimming pool. um: J hmQu Q.
