By offering home training courses, Sag- inaw High's home economics program com- pletes its objective of providing students with an adequate background or their roles in the home or in the professional field. Training in food preparation, sew- ing, and Red Cross home nursing are among various activities carried out in the department. When, as they walk through the halls, students inhale the tantalizing aromas of steak, rolls, or some other ap- petizing dish, they can be sure that the home economics students are learning well. l -. 5 ww' , A Girls learn the useful art of making their own clothing in the clothing department of home CC. Roy CHAMBERLAIN CLIFFORD MONSON Machine Shop Machine Shop Applied Math Drafting Many of the students who have interests in the N -n industrial field may find the shop classes at - Saginaw High a challenge to their mechanical g abilities. Such industrial training as tech- ' niques in foundry operation and other metallur- gical occupations are presently included in the shop curriculum. By including varied metallur- gical training courses the curricul ' , um provides students with an educational program which will bl h ena e t ese students to enter fields of indus- try in the future.
