Q5 Ufkce Work! Work! and more work! This is the daily theme of the office staff at Saginaw High. The staff's duties are certainly varied. There are records to be kept up to date, attendance and grades to be posted, in addition to the many minor but time consuming duties that are daily routine. Add to this the daily bulletin and the regular teacher's mail delivery, and you have the day of our office girls. To assist them an office training course if offered through the business department of the school. UPPER LEFT: Mrs. Helen Reynolds, attendance secretary, adds information to the office records as Miss Shirley Williams assists. Keeping the daily record must be very exac- ting work in a school where many students come and go daily. UPPER RIGHT: Judy Randall adds new informa- tion to the student files as Rose Partyka checks the information on hands These and many other students receive office training as part of the general business course offered at Saginaw High. LOWER LEFT: Mrs. Emmaline Kimmerly, Hr. Tibbet's secretary, and Miss Rose Doering check teacher orders for supplies which must be ordered for next year. ,--- .X M xsfwwt , n 1 libs Qt!

Mary Martinez and Merry Christ- mas apparently have ideas of their own as they study the colorful travel posters of the Spanish speaking countries. Tales of the New World, hidden treasures, French paintings and the Roman Conquerors! All of these subjects, in one variation or another, may be the current topic of dis- cussion or learningin any of the available foreign language classes at Saginaw High. This year some very noticeable and inter- esting changes have taken place in the department. For the first time in the history of Saginaw High, the Spanish dep- artment has created a third year Spanish class. It is made available for those who wish to expand their knowledge of the Spanish speaking peoples and desire to learn to speak the language in a more fluent manner. Due to the growing inter- est in this COUFSC, the club Espanol has been developed under the direction of Paul Housler. A new face in the department is that of Hiss jean Hanley. In addition toher teach- ing first and second year Spanish and French, Miss Hanley also sponsors the French Club.
