STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council assists the principal in establishing policy for the school in affairs which effect the student body. Members of the Council are chosen from the various extra-curricular groups in the school, the president of each organization usually representing his group in the Council. Ir addition to the extra-curricular groups, the officers of the three classes are also included in the Student Council membership. Faculty advisor to the Student Council is Mr. Ward Tibbet, Principal We had to interrupt one of the meetings of the Student Council to get this shot. Among them were slightly more than five hundred seniors, most of whom had been bresent just three years earlier to helb oben the new Saginaw High School. These were to be the first Trojans to graduate from SHS who have never known the thrill of life in Old Main or the tramt across Warren to change classes. Entering with them were seven hundred seventy-seven sofhomores, the largest glass ever to enter Saginau High. 23

SENICDRS 1957 Seniors are unusually busy people. Besides keeping up their grades there is a never ending round of senior affairs to attend and plan for. Regular senior assemblies are planned and final arrangements must be made for graduation. The senior officers and their advisor put into action plans made by the Senior Central Committee, a group representing each senior homeroom. This year about 500 seniors will receive diplomas from Saginaw High School. 4 , V' li Q v 5 if - , fu 1 ,W 'li,,f ' Mr. Harold Donaldson, senior advisor, offers a suggestion to Deb Blondin. senior class president, who with Beverly Murlick, secretary, qlefty, and Gerry Habke, vice- president, Crighty, kept senior activities moving during the year. The senior central committee is made up of representatives from each senior home room.
