Students went Back to the Future with poodle skirts, saddle shoes, leather jackets and greased hair. This day took students Back in Time. 2 l Introduction THE FUTURE Introduction l 3 SIDELUHLH The boys at SHMS are almost as interested in looking good as are the girls. Boys try to pick out the most fashionable clothes when they go Sidewalk Surfin'. Almost everyone has and needs friends. Hard work and dedica- tion put the team on the right track. The coach was the x man behind the team. All in all everyone worked hard so they could say Come And Go With Me. THE 1987 BOYSt TRACK TEAM Boys' TracleQ SHFIHE. PIFITTLE FIND HULL The 1986-87 girls volleyball team practiced daily on setting, spiking and passing. Their dedicated ef- forts were rewarded by their winning season. Coach Kuzniewski and the volleyball team really know how to Shake, Rattle and Roll. GWGirls' Volleyball TUJIST FIND SHDLIT The boyst volleyball team posted one of their finest seasons ever in 1986. With a record of seven wins and one loss, the boys served up their third consecutive conference championship. Led by Captain Jim Perrino, the Warriors devastated their opponents with skill and finesse. Outstan- ding performances were turned in by two year starters Rick Hoffman and Tony Richards, as well as first year men Mike Woolever amd Ben Nicholson. Boys' VolleybalV61 GD EHIEHEN Physical Education students take an adventure in fitness when they walk on- to the game field fitness course. There are five different programs that make fitness fun. Students are involved in total conditioning, body building, weight loss, cardiovascular fitness and sports enrichment. Students who score 8570 or better on all six tests receive a Presidential Fitness Award. 62 t Fitness Fitness 63 FEELIN' Every year at S.H.M.S. the girls' and boys' volleyball teams battle it out with some of our teachers. There is a game for each grade level. Faculty members as well as students were involv- ed in this effort. Many of the students felt the giv- ing spirit when donating their pennies to a Love Child. Many tears were shed when the first place winners presented their trophy to two of our physically impaired students who had par- ticipated in the Lip Synch. Curriculum Fair was another successful event. Science, social studies, language arts and home economics were just a few of the outstanding projects that were displayed. Students had their mathematical abilities tested at the quiz bowl while parents and visitors were enter- tained by the music department and the drama club. This event proved our students are True to Their School.
