SCHOLARS OF THE GAME The four words character, scholarship, leadership, and service have a great deal of meaning to the 103 members of the Junior National Honor Society. These four words are the standards for entrance into this organization. Members must also be involved in a service project. This year members raised money for the SPCA. ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING IN THE GAME The PTSA Student Advisory group at SHMS works with both the faculty and administration, as well as in the community. This fall students organized a Lip Synch concert to raise money for a former student in need of a heart. During the spring a clean-up day was held and our teachers were honored on Teacher Appreciation Day. These busy students are actively participating in the game. SERVING WITH A SMILI The Red Cross Club is an organization for those students who are interested in helping other people. The second year of the club was a busy one. During Christmas, members collected money through the math classes, to help buy presents for children who were not as fortunate as others.
