Both of these teams work very hard in providing these needed services. The cooking staff is always thinking of new and creative menus to make a nutritious meal. As you can imagine cooking for 1300 students is not easy! Our custodians have dedicated themselves to beautifying our school. Kids on the Move SHMS began a program 2 years ago to recognize our bus drivers, and good bus behavior by students. Each month a different driver is honored and a plaque is presented to the driver. Students receive refreshments as their reward. We are very proud to honor these dedicated drivers, and thank them for safely delivering us to school. 136 Transportation

This past year they had a candle sale. A contest was held to see who could sell the most candles. Mr. Hall's class was the school winner. Mr. Hall and his winning team had an ice cream party for all the outstanding salesmen. Mr. Hall brought cake as a reward for his students and the PTSA provided ice cream. His class sold approximately 265 candles, which is an average of 9 boxes per student. Monies obtained from this successful project were spent on educational items needed for our school. 138i S.A.C. and P.T.S.A.
