THE SHA ALUMNAE ASSGCIATIG Left fo right: Mary Louise Jardine, treasurer: Judy Rapozo, vice-president Rita M. Gora, president: Evelyn Cambra, recording secrefaryg Pauline Amoy, President Rita M. Gore presents the Alumnae Co 'e5Po d '9 5eC ela Y- Scholarship fo Reverend Mother Mary Regis. Inspired by loyalty to their alma mater and a loving desire to aid SHA long after they have laid aside the middy blouse and serge skirt, Academy graduates have organized an active Alumnae Association. Besides furthering thc interests of the school they love best,', Alumnae members aim also at aiding one another to live by the principles taught here. Believing that in union there is that genuine strength so much needed in adult life, they take part in various Alumnae-sponsored projects-working together and serving together, the better to stand together as true children of the Sacred Hearts. In their religious program are included days of recollection, usually spent at SHA, and an annual Mass for deceased members, offered annually in the Academy chapel. Social events, such as fashion shows, luncheons, and card parties, not only help to raise Alumnae funds, but also provide welcome opportunities for gay reunions. SHA'ers each year anticipate the presentation of Alumnae scholarships, another phase of the constant interest shown by Alumnae Association in the Academy's educational endeavors. One of the greatest tributes paid by Alumnae members to SHA is the yearly enroll- ment of an ever-increasing number of children and grandchildren-proof sufficient that SHA'ers desire an Academy training like their own for those whom they love most! In turn, the highest praise SHA's faculty can lavish upon faithful Alumnae members is the truthful statement: Uwe know we can always count on you!
