High school students make up the 350-voice choir. Father l.ivinus's Religion examination comes just before the annual retreat. Holy Vfeek and our retreat! Days of prayerful recollec- tion and serious thinking for all high school students who draw courage and inspiration from Reverend lfather Robert Nlackey's wonderful conferences. APRIL It's vacation time once again and the students prepare for some fun-filled days ahead. Scouts and Triple A members enjoy their annual picnic at Punaluu again this year. Many efhcient SHA'ers receive positions of prominence during Boys and Girls Vfeek. The jolly juniors are walking around these days with rather bewildered expressions-results of their not-to-be- forgotten prom. Outdoor-loving scouts have a chance to practice old skills and learn new ones at the Scout Camp at Paewalani on two week ends in April. A grand day is had by all as the play Maid of Orleans is staged in anticipation of Reverend Mother Mary Gertrude's silver jubilee of religious profession. March! March! March! Athletes prepare with extra vim and vigor for their annual Field Uay. Wonder what's hap- pening this year? Time will tell, but meanwhile, eyes turn in the direction of Nlarian liield. Seniors begin graduation practice-which reminds us that this Audion mm! go to press! But before it does. we would like to add just a word of appreciation to all those who have in any way helped us with this yearbook-to Reverend Nlother, Faculty, Patrons. and fellow students-MAIIALU! Alon with 61 5011 The eightieth birthday of our Holy lfatherl SHA'ers join the world-wide commemoration of this day, March 2. First Friday coincides with the occasion and the student body turns out in white dress uniforms. Numerous projects, the results of intense research by SHA'ers. are exhibited in our library. The Hawaiian Club enjoys its first lecture meeting with guest speaker Mr. Thomas Maunupau wonderfully and hu- morously explaining tales of old Hawaii. Mahalo, Mr. Mau- nupau!! Basketball is again in full swing and it looks as though the teams are well matched and raring to go. The Junior Red Cross linrollment llriye takes place and the student body enjoys the -IRC film, Lending a Helping Handf, Ono-ono sweet bread makes its appearance on SHA campus. Nly, these Senior Scouts are eager beavers! Mighty Seniors don saddle oxfords and white socks for their forum. An interesting topic, Remote Preparation for Marriage, is enjoyed by all. The Audion 'Staff has its banquet on St. Patrick's Day. The luck o' the Irish is with 'emI --they enjoy turkey with all the trimmings! lfirst Mass is offered on the new marble altar on Pas- sion Suntlay.
