ing in the open, danced to endu1'ing folk songs, and even starred in dramatic productions, but the primary aim of these girls was designed to base all their activities on the sound principles of their Catholic Faith and of the Girl Scout Pledge. Consequently, these privileged young ladies have received a deeper understanding ofthe duties of a Christian citizen, developed a stronger bond of affection for her neighbor, and fully realized that the Flag is dependent on the Cross. This realization is openly manifested at the annual Scout Rally which begins with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, continues with a birthday celebration and distribution of awards, and ends with the investiture ceremony, the Consecration to Our Blessed lVlother, and the Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Since our Girl Scouts work hand-in-hand with the JRC, they share equal representation on the Coun- cil with the high school delegates. The JRC's first project of the year was the collection of Christmas decora- tions. To boost their campaign, the council members hung large posters around the campus. Their efforts were amply rewarded by the generosity of the student body which must have brought much cheer to many a hospital ward. With sincere intention of sewing school, community, and country, the council realizes the deep value of WOI'dSWOl'th,S words: 4'Happiness adds and multiples when we divide it with others.
