Macy '29j Physical Education Iusfrurior Our steadily increasing Triple A, under the direction and guidance of our competent instructor, Mrs. Ted Nobriga, has brilliantly ended another successful year of athletics at S. H. A. Basketball, volleyball, tennis, and badminton are the variety of sports played on our athletic courts. Teams from all classes have displayed a keen spirit of competition, and since members of the various teams must maintain an aver- age scholastic standard, studies have never been neglected by Triple A members. The Athletic Association is enjoyed by all its enthusiastic members. This is demonstrated daily when groups of eager girls, participating in the many activities offered, crowd the S. H. A. courts. Sportsmanship, the main aim of the organif zation, is especially stressed in the character training of the girls. The Triple A has proved to be a great asset to S. H. A. in the past two years. We know that it will continue, in years to come, to furnish S. H. A. students with the opportunities of a fine all-round physical education program.

Hui 714 Wahine Upio Sheer love of living is the bright spirit that animates residence in Hawaii. This spirit is kept alive in S. H. A. by the activities of the Hui Na Wahine Opio, one of the ACademy's recently organized clubs. Com- prised solely of those boasting Hawaiian and Polynesian ancestry, the Hui is recognized by all as a valuable asset towards international friendship. Kuu home me kou home - My home is your home. This is an old Hawaiian tradition which has been carried on to this day-only one of the many reasons why Hawaii has become world-famous. Such is our tra- dition, such is the purpose of the Hui. 1456 The S. H. A. Athletic Student Council, organized last year, has become an invaluable part of the Triple A. Alert councilors, representatives of each class, further the principles of good sportsmanship by their conscien- tious fulfillment of the objectives of the Council. The maintenance of order on the courts, the responsibility for equipment, the planning of intramural schedules, the arranging of tennis, badminton and ping-pong tournaments are some of the many varied tasks assigned to the A.
