bl-amaticA Almost everyone enjoys a play! That is the theme song behind an interest in dra- matics, and at S. H. A., that interest is en- livened each time there is an opportunity to act. The value of this interest lies in the fact that it builds unity and friendship among those who participate! Many times during the school year stu- dents have occasions to display their dramatic ability but perhaps the outstanding oppor- tunity came this year with the celebration of Good Mother Day. In a wholehearted re- sponse to the request of the Very Reverend Mother Zenaide, children of the Sacred Hearts all over the world participated in a special day of prayer and celebration. Yes, S. H. A. was right there joining the rest of the big family of La Bonne Mere. Truly, November twenty-third became a Red Letter Day to be long remembered by all Children of the Sacred Hearts! What a chance that was for the dramatic- ally inclined! Students were eager and proud of the privilege to write and to produce their own skits, endeavoring to bring before their fellow students-the life, virtues, and work of La Bonne Mere. May she, who is Mother of the family of the Sacred Hearts, smile benignly upon her children in all parts of the world and draw ever closer the bonds of friendship and un- derstanding that must bring peace and unity to our chaotic world. lf iw multi only imiluh' lbw rirluvx uf Lu Baum' Menu HJ 'iU Al' X32 V52 AQ ,GTB ' 'Y A45 ' f -,JY 1l T

the artists are at work. Landscapes are painted, buildings drawn-an ex- pression of beauty has been captured and put down on paper to be enjoyed by others. The annual art exhibition in S. H. A. is a big calling card-an invitation for those who are interested in the work of the girls--an invitation to ad- mire the master piecesn they have produced throughout the year. The pictures and paintings on which they have spent so much time are there for all to see-a proof that they have progressed greatly and gained much from their course. Yes. S. H. A. is proud of her future artists and hopes that someday their talents will be recognized by others, and that, above all, they will always remember in their work, that real talent-and skill are gifts of God, and that true beauty reflects God, so that all their creations may be inspired by this knowledge so as to be recognized in the eyes of the Master Artist as having true and lasting worth.
