When we attend a concert, we are not really conscious of the person singing or playing-we are too entranced by the lovely music issuing from the heart of the great artist. At S. H. A., true appreciation of music has been implanted in the hearts of all. The music students are not great artists but that does not. change the spirit reflected in the love of music. They realize that music is an effective medium by which all nationalities are joined together in senti- ments of mutual understanding and Christian affection.

llllwic The language of music is universal. It is known and loved by all the peoples of the world. Une can walk into any conservatory in any part of the world and hear Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin, played with equal fervor and eloquence. Music is the expression of what We feel, and everyone-regardless of race, color, or creed-possesses the same emotions of fear, anger, sadness, and love. This sharing of these common interests results in a greater under- standing and friendliness among the peoples of our universe. Bvflmlrl Wfuflzvr' al flaw organ. l I -I 1 HXWVBP' ,'
