1456 The S. H. A. Athletic Student Council, organized last year, has become an invaluable part of the Triple A. Alert councilors, representatives of each class, further the principles of good sportsmanship by their conscien- tious fulfillment of the objectives of the Council. The maintenance of order on the courts, the responsibility for equipment, the planning of intramural schedules, the arranging of tennis, badminton and ping-pong tournaments are some of the many varied tasks assigned to the A. ll ifllllfllly fm: W'e can proudly say that, after Christianity, Scouting has been next in its zealous efforts to stop racial discrimination and in its place, to bring about international friendship. In their work and play the Scouts build their characters, simultaneously building their nations, strengthening them, making them better places in which to live. In peace and in war this organization has fostered the belief that all men are created equal, re- gardless of race, color, or creed-a precept that has been instilled in the heart of each Girl Scout. lfagerly, S. H. A. youngsters have always rallied to the call of Scout- ing, realizing that it provides an excellent opportunity to carry out the principles of Catholic Action which have been infused in their hearts by the teachings of their Catholic faith.
