The annual high school-college clash rounded out the softball season this year. The collegiates held a tight 1-0 lead going into the 6th inning. Bob Riedy of the high school had given up only three hits and John Brochtrup of the college one. Then, Eddie Meier, with two men on the bases, broke open the game by hit- ting a line drive to deep right center for a three run homer. Bob Riedy, who gave the collegiates only four hits for the afternoon, had no trouble holding them in the final inning. John Brochtrup pitched a five hit game for the collegiates, but it was not enough to stop the hard-hitting all stars. rf , Ed Meier scores on Teffy Laib displays his a long drive.
