VSL .gg DEAR CLASS OF 1958: We have heard much about Satelites during the past school year-Satelite objects launched into orbit around the earth. Perhaps you have caught a glimpse of one of them as it passed through the city, and you, no doubt, like all people felt a thrill of pride in such great achievements of science-yet how very small are our earth Satelites in the view of the sun around which our earth revolves and how infinitely smaller are they in the all seeing eye of God-He is the 'iCenter7l around whom His whole creation revolves! God should be also the i'Center'l of all your thoughts, words and deeds. Under the motto HDocentes Omnia, Cum Christiana Pietate you have been taught thus in Sacred Heart School. Our divine Lord has marked out the orbit which you should follow around God, the Center of all things, and you have the aid of the Holy Spirit coming to you in the Sacraments, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and in your prayers and good Works, to keep you in your proper orbit. Following the promptings of the Holy Spirit you will live out your lives in the service of God, serving Him especially by serving your fellow men and women for the love of God, serving as Priests, perhaps, or Religious Sisters and Broth-ers, perhaps as Mothers and Fathers as Lay Men and Women in many noble walks of life. Thus you will become Satelites around whom other boys and girls, and grown ups, will revolve in following the Christians Orbit around the Sacred Heart of our Lord and His Blessed Mother. In so doing you will be making sure that you will never fall out of Orbit into the Eames of God's eternal punishment, but you will win the great reward for which you have been created which is happiness forever with God in Heaven. To return safely into the hands of God after this life is over is the only success that really matters and this success your Priests and Teachers, your loved ones and all your friends wish you on your Graduation Day.
