Mavis Lundberg, pictured upper right receiving her award from Coach Bel- gum, won the honor of participating in the re- gional storytelling contest. Diane Bruns, far lower right, was an alternate winner for the district original oratory division. Jerry Kra- mer, near lower right, was among the five semi- finalists in the competitive humorous interpre- tation division. A record forty-one students participated in declam. Although not all could be winners, all gained valuable experience for me future. Winners of the seven local divisions are as follows: humorous Interpretation, J. Kramer and M. Guests Enjoy Enchantment of Three Coins in the Fountain MEMBERS of tho Junior and senior classes, faculty, and guests gathered at the school dining room on the evening of May 6 for the annual banquet. After dinner, Master of Cere- monies 3. Hopkins introduced M. Bjorndal who read the toast to the juniors and the senior class will. K. Bjorndal re- sponded with the toast to the seniors. Mrs. Donald Erickson sang Three Coins in the Foun- tain, the theme for the even- ing. The prom was held in the gymnasium which had been transformed with pastel pink, yellow and green streamers and a fountain in the center of the room.
