The spark at the September P. T. A. meeting was a chalk Curtiss Chelin gave a talk on talk given by Carol Jean Nelson and Diane Frank concerning coin-collecting. He received their experiences at a summer art workshop, coins and letters from Russia, Egypt and several other coun- tries. OUTSTANDING EVENTS OF 1959-1960 Linda Gerde represented Sacred Heart as the top speller in Renville County. She received this honor after defeating all other contestants in the home and county spelling contests. She competed in the regional Spelling Bee in Minneapolis which was sponsored by the Minneapolis Tribune. Fruit boots marked a fashion note in 1959-1960. Renville played host to Sacred and Danube for a very profitable College-Career Day. The program enabled us to hear representations from colleges of our choice and various fields of work.
