 THE FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA --AN ACTIVE AND WELL-ORGANIZED GROUP WE WORKED TOWARD FAMILY UNDERSTANDING Sue Dybsand was elected District 13 Vice-I resident. The biggest thrill in F. H. A. this year was having our candidate for District Vice President elected to be Vice-President of District 13 for the year 1959-1960. Now all of the preparations are being made for the fall convention to be held at Sacred Heart. During F. H. A. Week a display was set up in the window of a local store. Local F.H.A. girls publicised F.H.A. week. 14

Sacred Heart's FFA headed seavard captained by Gerald Peterson,Chapter President;Robert Skogberg,Vice-Pres- ident; Myron Peterson, Secretary; Rudy Hoff, Treasurer; Gerald Mahlum, Reporter; Harlan Eliason, Sentinel; and Mr. Earl Northouse; Advisor. The FFA boys attended Terraceville and the District Land Judging Contest. A freshmen team placed fourth in the District 10 competition. In October allagriculture students vere encour- aged to enter the Lamb Feeding Pro- gram in cooperation with the 4-H Program. All of Sacred Heart's com- petitors placed average and above. Robert Skogberg's lamb placed fourth individually. On February 25,Sacred Heart's FFA placed second in Parlia- mentary Procedure in District 10. Teams participating at Morris vere: Dairy, General Livestock, Meats, Crops, and Farm Mechanics. Robert Skogberg and Paul Agre vere chosen Minnesota State Fanners at the State Convention at which Sacred Heart was well represented. As F.F.A. Chapter Sweetheart of 1960, Sue Dybsand was presented by Harlen Eliason to the F.F.A. President, Gerald Peterson, to receive her jacket. F.F.A.
