On October 15 the 1959-60 Homecoming fes- tivities officially began with the crown- ing of Qjeen Bonnie Benson, After the coronation, accompanied by princesses Winness Brelie and Eileen Frank, Queen Bonnie lit the traditional bonfire spark- ing off the pep fest led by the Viking cheerleaders. On October 16 the high school band led a colorful parade through the streets of Sacred Heart, Friday night saw the Viking football squad fight a los- ing battle against the conference champ- ions, Hector. After the game, grades 7-12 and alumni danced until 11:30 in the gym- nasium. Band set the pace.'
