class of 1956 commencement Heads of the class— Shirley Nelson and David Ellefson Dean M. Schweickhard, Minnesota Commissioner of Education, spoke on Don't Forget at the com- mencement exercises. May 31. The invocation was given by Rev. John Soli. Superintendent G.W.B. Eitreim made the presentation of the class, and the diplomas were presented by Mr. Glenn Dahl- ager. Musical numbers in the program were My God How Wonderful Thou Art and The Halls of Ivy by the mixed ensemble and Thanks Be To God , My God and I , and Ride the Chariot by the high school choir. The salutory address was made by David Ellefson. Rev. Donald Johnson chose as his baccalau- reate sermon, Purposeful Living , on May 27. The invocation was made by Rev. John Soli and benediction by Rev. A.R. Sellevold. The high school choir sang three hymns, 0 Lord We Wor- ship Thee , With a Voice of Singing , and lord For Thy Tender Mercies Sake . The processionals and recessional at both programs were played by Mr. Joseph Olson. 7
