In recent years, the Yearbook staff has dedicated each yearls book to a special someone who has made that par- ticular year valuable. This year we dedicate our Moon- shadoW's Yearbook to Lex Pierce. With her courage and determination, she has taught each and every one of us the value of life. In return for her spirited gift, we offer her this dedication. She showed us, at S.H.M., what the spirit of the Heart truly is. Diane Schoen co-editor 1980-81 Yearbook To me, Lex Pierce was a very special friend. On my first day of school, I was scared and confused, until Lex approached me with a very warm welcome. She made me smile when I was down and I will always remember that. Lex was always so colorful and full of excitement. She amazed me throughout our years of high school. Lex taught me to value life and people, and I will always love her for that. Lex was always such a beautiful person to me, and my words could never express how honored I am to have known her. Nicky Kerr

They took 2nd place in their Conference Tour- nament, and they participated in the Maine West Invitational, where Elaine Kostopoulos placed 3rd in the singles event. The team also consist- ed of a lst place conference doubles team of Mary Hollowed and Debbie Guenther, who also placed in state and scored points for Sacred Heart.
