The year began with the annual Spirit Days where we celebrated by dressing in togas, beach wear, and the symbolic yellow jerseys of '81. We displayed our tremendous class spirit by decorating the cafe with an array of yellow streamers bal- loons and posters exclaiming the news of the Gold Rush Strikes Again. As expected, the incurable disease of senioritis began early in the month of January, when college plans were confirmed. Then, accompanied by our San Tropei Men , we spent a memorable prom night April 24, at Villa Olivia, as we were Dreamin of Me and You. The year flew by faster than expected, and the last week of senior year was upon us all. The slide shows at Awards Night helped us relive our four years at SHM, as we watched the Class of '81 transform from insecure freshmen into the spirited, mature seniors of today. Finally the moment of excitement and tears-Graduation Day!! We opened our hearts to still more memories of the past and successful moments of the future . . . By Mary Anne Kraft
