In Italy, they made their Holy Year pilgrimage to St. Peter's and the three other basilicas, climbed Michelangelo's dome, saw the Tivoli and Trevi foun- tains , the marble of Il Duomo in Florence , and the intricate architecture of Venice . In Austria , they enjoyed the flower and green carpeted mountains and the rushing rivers of Steinach in Tyrol. In Germany , they saw the musical clock of Munich, West Berlin's wall, and the drabness of East Berlin. In France, it was the Metro, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre , Notre Dame, Chartres, and Versailles. In England, the British Museum, Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park, and Windsor Castle . While these represent just a few of the memories they brought home , they also gained many friends among the group of nearly eighty students led by Marianists.
