He has given him the privilege of sharing in His Divine Nature through sanctifying grace. He has endowed him with an intellect capable of compre- hending the truths of this world and of appreci- ating beauty. He has so made him that he cannot rest secure in himself but must of necessity share his gifts with others. Unfortunately, many people fail to unlock the doors to all the riches life holds, but here at S.H.M. we are the privileged possessors of a master key. For our school has opened the doors to higher edu- cation and unlocked the riches of a spiritual and social life needful for truly happy and successful living. For the past four years we have been preparing for this momentous occasion, and now the time has come for us not only to implement the lights and experiences of our high school days but also to share them with others. We pray that we shall continue to use to best advantage the riches which were unlocked for us and thus attain the eternal treasure -heaven. i w S f 5 E 3 3 Q 5 2 i ri 1 E E K: E E e S F P exan ria Odfrowd i Student Council 3, 4, President, Girls' State Representative 3, Sodality 2, 3, 4, Prefect 2, Vice-Prefect 3, C.S.F. 1, 2, 3, President 4, Cum Laude 1, 2, 3, Mother Butler Assoc., Coremar Staff, Marbellite Staff 2, 3, Drama Club 1, 3, Spanish Club 3, 4, G.A.A. 1, 2, 3, 4, Volleyball Varsity 2, 3, Basketball Varsity 1, 2, 3, Volleyball Class Team 1, 2, 3, 4, Basketball Class Team 1, Publicitv Club 3, 4, Pep Club 1, 2, 3, Student Service 1, 2. ,lr CLCQLLQAIQQ A jllfel' Student Council 3, 4, Vice-President 4, C.S.F. 2, Cum Laude 1, 2, 3, Mother Butler Assoc., Sodality 2, 3, Marbellite 2, Spanish Club 3, 4, G.A.A. 1, 2, 3, 4, Volleyball Varsity 2, 3, 4, Volleyball Class Team 1, 2, 3, Publicity Club 3, Chairman 4, Student Service 1, 2, Class Drill Team 3, School Drill Team 3. jo ALL., Smglw Student Council, 1, 2, 4, Secretary-Treasurer 4, Class Vice- President 1, 2, C.S.F. 1, 2, 3, Cum Laude 1, 2, 3, Mother Butler Assoc., Coremar Co-Editor 4, Marbellite 1, 2, 3, Spanish Club 3, 4, Mission Club 1, 2, 3, 4, G.A.A. 1, 2, 3, 4, Secre- tary 3, Basketball Varsity 2, Volleyball Class Team 1, 2, 3, 4, Basketball Class Team 1, 2, 3, Publicity Club 3, 4, Pep Club 1, 2, 3, 4, Student Service 1, 2, Chairman 4, Class Drill Team 1, 2, School Drill Team 4, Cafeteria Staff 3. arcirizia . maker if if Student Council 45 Sodality 2, 3, 45 C.S.F. 1, 2, 35 Cum Laude President 3, 45 Mother Butler Assoc.5 Coremar Co- editor 45 Marbellite Staff 25 Spanish Club 3, 45 G.A.A. From freshman to senior year every phase of our Church history, the life of our Lord, and our own M lives as Christians in a modern, athe- istic world is studied. The latter is dealt with implicity in our senior year. ln our first semester we study all that is opposed to Catholicity, in our second semester we are given a special course through which we are prepared for marriage. With a solid background in our religion, we have a foundation upon which to build our lives as strong and perfect Christians. Appreciation of literary works of art and communication skills are taught in all our English classes. We enioy the opportunities to display our progress and achievements throughout the four years. Some of our activities include participation in Creative Writing Days at Immacu- late Heart College and at the Uni- versity of California. Certificates of acceptance for publication and dis- tinction awards are received from the National Association of High School Prose and Poetry. Trophies and certificates are won by public speakers.
