Christian education takes in the whole ag- gregate of human life, physical and spiritual, in- tellectual and moral, individual, domestic and social, not with a view of reducing it in any way, but in order to elevate, regulate and perfect it, in accordance with the example and teaching of Christ. m m M, Each season emphasized its particular sport to give relaxation from the strenuous life of the class room. I watched the changing seasons through the eyes of tradition. September brought Rat Week, freshman initation with its cookout. There was the Thanksgiving banquet in November; decorating for the Christmas banquet in December. It was a busy time, with the parade in Belmont, trips to the Charlotte Town Mall, complete with the excitement of the long awaited trip home. There was the Twelfth Night Ball in January, the semester exams, the basketball season, and the Freshman Follies in February.
