McGARRY Superintendent of Sclioolt Diocese of Camden It is gratifying to be able to dedicate this new school at a time when dictatorial govern- ments in other lands are closing schools and retarding the education of their peoples . . . We are proud of our public school system, but we as Catholics prefer our religious schools. Catholic schools give their students all the advantages of a public school education, but additionally, pupils arc taught by teachers dedicated to the teachings of Christ. . . . Public schools and Catholic schools arc partners in the education of America’s youth. Catholic schools enable the child to develop spiritually, and this cannot be accomplished without religious education.
